Prepare for your Session

Here are some tips as you prepare

First -  choose outfit that represent you, not someone you want to be. Find things that say you and your genuine style, and make you feel confident and strong/beautiful.

I will list some of my tips below - Here are some great articles for those looking for more

What to Wear

What to Wear Girls

What to Wear Guys

Avoid Words – Logos – Neon – Stripes. Avoid too much solid black. If you do choose to wear black, be sure to break it up with other colors, patterns, and accessories.

Colors – Pick a variety of colors that are consistent with your every day wardrobe and style.

(Girls) Choose a variety of TYPES of outfits. Try casual for one and maybe a more formal or cute dress for another. Sports and Hobbies make great themes. (uniform, instrument, snowboard)

Stay away from fabrics that are prone to wrinkles or tend to cling to you in unflattering ways.

(Girls) Choose flattering styles and fits that complement your natural shape. Boxy tops and dresses that hide your shape or make you look much bigger than you are should be avoided.

Be sure to properly accessorize each outfit, but don’t over do it. Cute hats, scarves, necklaces, bracelets, and rings will add a finishing touch to your outfits.

Hair - Makeup

I am not currently partnered with any local hair and makeup artist. If you are interested we can talk more so I can connect you with a professional. I do some touch up in post editing for blemishes, etc. I want my seniors to feel strong, pretty and look your best.

(Girls) As for hair, spend some time on your hair with the look that speaks you. Straight, Curled, a cute braid. I want you to be comfortable and for your hair to represent you.
